o Dxx 21F04: New Family of Low Cost FireWire Cameras
Parading under the buzzword 'FireWire', the IEEE 1394 standard is currently getting a lot of attention from the image processing community. We all too often forget however, that FireWire is actually only a standardization at bus level and that low prices require that all components in the image processing chain be standardized - not just the bus.
The new family of FireWire cameras (Dxx 21F04) is based on standards at all levels - from the operating system to the camera. For an overview, please take a look at:
http://www.theimagingsource.com/en/products/cameras/
The cameras are shipped with a WDM driver, an ActiveX, a C++ class library, programming examples (including source code) and a sample application to acquire single images and image sequences.
